As of five this morning, D & I officially were done with the second of three weddings this summer. We were the first…and yesterday was S&M’s turn.
They have a wonderful day and beautiful weather for their day. It was a gorgeous ceremony, even though we could barely hear the words said by the minister. I actually resorted to lip reading and translating for those in the back. However, the bride cried, the groom was dashing, everyone was gorgeous and it was a fabulous time had by all. The ceremony, while not short, was sweet and done before people started to bake too badly in wool or black dress. The reception was a nice affair where I spent my time with folks from the Old School and explaining to the theater contingent what that meant and to poor lil PhoenixBoi what barbeque pulled pork was. After the reception broke up (around 9:30ish) we all headed over to the Upper Deck to follow our karaoke folks from the reception. We left there in order to by some beer, soda and cigarettes for the after party and S&M’s home. That broke up around 3:30 in the morning…it took longer for D & I to clear out, get home and get to bed.
And now, some pictures
